WordPrix is published by Ellemsoft, based in Finland. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data the app does and does not collect.

What We Collect

WordPrix does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts, no user IDs, and no tracking. The app runs entirely on your device.

Analytics

WordPrix uses Google Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregate gameplay statistics. This helps us understand how the game is used and improve the experience. Analytics data includes:

• Gameplay events (games started, completed, scores)
• Feature usage (hints, sharing, Daily Prix participation)
• App session information (opens, session duration)
• General device information (OS version, device model)

This data is anonymous and aggregate — it is not linked to any individual user, account, or advertising identifier. No personal information is collected. Firebase Analytics processes this data according to Google's Firebase Privacy Policy.

Local Data Storage

All app data is stored locally on your device, including:

• Game progress and statistics
• Your settings and preferences
• Achievement progress

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party. To delete this data, uninstall the app or clear app data through your device settings.

Voice Input (Microphone)

WordPrix offers an optional voice input feature that uses your device's microphone to recognize spoken words. This feature:

• Uses on-device speech recognition only — audio is processed locally and is never sent to any server
• Does not record, store, or transmit any audio data
• Requires your explicit permission before accessing the microphone
• Can be enabled or disabled at any time in Settings

No audio data is accessible to us or any third party.

Advertising

WordPrix displays a small banner ad at the top of the screen and optional rewarded video ads. There are no pop-up or interstitial ads that interrupt your gameplay. Rewarded ads are entirely optional — you only see one if you choose to watch it in exchange for a hint.

Ads are served through Google AdMob and the following mediation partners:

• Google AdMob — Privacy Policy
• Liftoff (Vungle) — Privacy Policy
• Meta Audience Network — Privacy Policy
• Pangle (ByteDance) — Privacy Policy
• Unity Ads — Privacy Policy

When ads are displayed, these services may collect the following data:

• Device identifiers (Advertising ID)
• IP address
• Device information (model, operating system)
• Approximate location (derived from IP address)
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks)

We do not have access to this data. Each ad partner processes data according to their own privacy policy linked above.

Data collected by these services may be transferred to servers in the United States or other countries. These transfers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and other approved mechanisms.

Ad Consent (EU/EEA/UK)

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before any ad-related data is collected. If you decline, no personalized ads will be shown. The legal basis for ad-related data collection is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)).

Opting Out of Personalized Ads

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings:

• iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking
• Android: Settings > Google > Ads > Opt out of Ads Personalization

Children's Privacy

WordPrix is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect any personal data from any user. Ads served by AdMob are subject to Google's policies regarding child-directed content.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• EU/EEA (GDPR): Right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, data portability, object to processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
• California (CCPA): Right to know what data is collected, right to delete, and right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information.

Since WordPrix does not collect personal data directly, these rights primarily apply to data collected by AdMob when ads are displayed. To exercise your rights regarding ad-related data, visit Google's Ad Settings or contact us at support@wordprix.app.

Do Not Sell or Share

WordPrix does not sell your personal information. When ads are displayed, AdMob may use device data for ad personalization. You can opt out through your device's privacy settings as described above.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
